PRIVACY POLICY

1. Scope and overview

 

Wandah Life (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates www.wandahlife.com / www.wandahlife.com.au and associated online storefronts, marketplaces and services (the “Site”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information about you when you:

  • visit or interact with the Site

  • buy physical products

  • download digital products

  • use our services

  • are redirected to third-party marketplaces such as Amazon

“Personal information” means any information about an identifiable individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We aim to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where users are located in the EU, UK, US (California) or other regions with additional rights, we also outline below how those rights are respected.

2. Definitions

  • Personal information: Information about an identifiable individual (e.g. name, email, IP address).

  • Order Information: Details required to process an order (billing/shipping address, payment info, contact details).

  • Log Data: Technical information collected automatically (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date/time).

  • Sensitive information: Categories such as health, race or religious beliefs (not collected except with explicit consent).

  • Cookies: Small data files stored on your device (see Section 8).

  • Third-party marketplaces: Sites like Amazon where you may complete purchases.

3. What we collect and why

 

3.1 Information you give us directly

  • Account details and credentials when you register.

  • Order Information to process purchases, ship goods and provide receipts.

  • Payment information required to process payments. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers; payments are processed by third-party, PCI DSS compliant payment processors. 

  • Delivery instructions and contact details for shipping.

  • Content you submit, for example product reviews, support requests, contest entries or user-uploaded images.

  • Marketing preferences and opt-in choices.

 

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Log Data including IP, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring/exit pages and time stamps.

  • Cookies and tracking identifiers used for session management, analytics and advertising. (See our Cookies Section 8.)

 

3.3 Information from third parties

  • If you use third-party logins or buy via a marketplace such as Amazon, we may receive information from those providers such as name and fulfilment details.

  • Analytics and advertising providers supply behavioural and demographic data. from services such as Google Analytics.

  • We may combine personal information received from third parties with information we collect ourselves.

 

3.4 Special categories

We do not collect sensitive personal information unless you provide it voluntarily and we have obtained consent where required by law.

4. How we use personal information

 

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to process and fulfil orders and digital downloads, manage returns and refunds and provide order confirmations and invoices

  • to deliver digital products and access credentials and to manage licences for digital content

  • to communicate about orders, accounts, updates, service interruptions and security incidents

  • to provide customer support and respond to enquiries

  • to prevent, detect and investigate fraud and misuse

  • to run, maintain and improve the Site, products and services and for analytics and product development

  • to personalise your experience and provide product recommendations and marketing about Wandah Life products where you have consented or it is otherwise permitted

  • to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

Whenever required by applicable law we will rely on an appropriate legal basis for processing, for example the performance of a contract for order fulfilment, consent for direct marketing or downloads, legitimate interests for fraud prevention or legal obligations for regulatory reporting. For EU residents we rely on GDPR legal bases such as contract, consent and legitimate interests as applicable.

5. Sharing and disclosure of personal information

 

We disclose personal information only in limited circumstances and only to the categories of recipients necessary to provide our services, including:

  • payment processors and merchant acquirers to process payments and refunds (Stripe, PayPal, AfterPay and similar where used)

  • fulfilment, distribution and courier partners to deliver physical products and manage returns

  • digital product delivery platforms to provide downloads or licence keys

  • marketplaces and third-party platforms where purchases are routed via their systems (for example Amazon)

  • analytics and advertising providers (Google Analytics, advertising platforms)

  • service providers that host, maintain or secure our systems, emails and backups

  • professional advisors, auditors and regulators where necessary

  • law enforcement, courts or government bodies if required by law, court order or to protect our legal rights

We require our service providers to treat personal information confidentially and to implement appropriate security measures. Where providers act as our processors we use written contracts requiring them to act only on our instructions.

6. Marketplaces and redirects

 

If you choose to purchase through a third-party marketplace such as Amazon, your transaction and data may be processed by that marketplace and will be subject to their terms and privacy practices as well as this policy. We will share order details necessary to fulfil your purchase and arrange delivery. You should review the privacy policies of any marketplace you use.

7. Cross-border transfers and overseas recipients

 

Because we use global service providers, personal information may be transferred to, stored and processed outside Australia, including the United States and European Union. Under APP 8 we remain accountable for that personal information and take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle the information in a way that would be consistent with the APPs. Typical safeguards include contractual protections, standard contractual clauses where applicable and selecting providers who maintain recognised security practices.

8. Cookies, tracking and analytics

 

Like most websites, Wandah Life uses cookies and similar technologies to operate our Site, understand visitor behaviour and improve your experience.

8.1 What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our Site. They help us remember your preferences, understand how you interact with our pages and deliver content that is more relevant to you.

8.2 Types of cookies we use

  • Essential cookies: required for the Site to function properly (e.g. keeping your cart active, remembering log-in sessions).

  • Performance and analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use the Site, which pages are most popular and how we can improve. We may use Google Analytics and similar tools for this purpose.

  • Functionality cookies: remember your preferences and choices, such as language, location or login details.

  • Advertising and targeting cookies: used to deliver relevant advertising to you, including retargeting ads on third-party platforms such as Google or social media networks. These cookies track your browsing activity across websites.

Some cookies come from third-party services we use, including analytics providers, advertising networks and marketplaces (e.g. Amazon if you purchase through their site after a redirect). These third parties may use cookies to collect information about your online activity across websites. Their use of your information is subject to their privacy policies.

  • use the cookie banner or preferences tool on our Site (where available)

  • opt out of Google Analytics using this browser add-on

Please note: if you disable essential cookies, parts of the Site may not function correctly and you may not be able to complete purchases or downloads.

By using our Site, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this section. Where required by law (for example in the EU/EEA or UK), we will request your explicit consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings or by clearing your browser cookies.

9. Security and payment handling

 

We use industry standard security measures such as TLS/SSL, firewalls, access controls and encrypted backups to protect your data. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers and we rely on PCI DSS compliant payment processors for payments and tokenisation. 10. Data retention and deletion

 

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was collected, to meet legal and tax obligations and to resolve disputes. In Australia tax and business record rules typically require retention of many business records for at least five years and some records for longer periods such as seven years for company and employment records. As a practical guide: order records and invoices are commonly retained for at least five years unless a longer legal requirement applies. Always contact us if you need a different retention schedule for your data.

11. Your rights and choices

 

11.1 General (Australia)

Under the Privacy Act and the APPs you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request corrections and complain to us about handling of your information. We will respond to access and correction requests in accordance with legal requirements.

11.2 European Union / EEA residents

If you are in the EU/EEA you have rights under the GDPR including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, data portability and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. We will respond to valid requests within applicable timeframes.

11.3 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to request correction, to opt out of certain sharing for targeted advertising and to not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood, but if our practices change we will provide the rights and notices required under California law. 11.4 How to make a request

Email hello@wandahlife.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and include: your name, contact details, the request (access, correction, portability or deletion) and any proof of identity required. We may ask for reasonable identification to verify your request. We will respond within legal timeframes or advise if we need more time.

12. Children and age limits

 

Our Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child without consent, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

13. Data breaches and the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme

 

If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to individuals we will assess whether it is an eligible notifiable data breach under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. If so, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in accordance with the scheme.

14. Automated decision making and profiling

 

We may use automated tools and analytics to personalise product recommendations and marketing and to detect fraud. If any automated decision would materially affect you we will provide meaningful information about the logic involved and how to request human review where required by law.

15. Third party sites and links

 

The Site contains links to other websites and services. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Wandah Life. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Please review the privacy policies of third-party sites and marketplaces you use as set out in Section 6.

16. International legal rights and jurisdiction

 

This policy is governed by the laws of Australia. If you are located outside Australia additional local privacy rights may apply, such as GDPR in the EU or the CCPA in California. For EU and California residents we will respect and implement applicable additional rights as set out above in Section 11.

17. Changes to this policy

 

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, notify registered users of material changes.
